I have been a GP for over 12 years, having been salaried, a partner and a locum in my time.

In 2015, I completed my MSc in Sports Medicine, Exercise & Health at The Institute of Sport Exercise & Health, UCL. Since then, I’ve conducted research in exercise programmes for patients with knee osteoarthritis, which has become a great interest of mine. Following my degree, I authored MCQs for the Royal College of General Practitioners membership exam.

Currently, I work for an NHS trust in a multidisciplinary team that manages patients with complex needs in the community. Alongside this, I’m involved in various musculoskeletal (MSK) projects, which aim to improve MSK care in South West London. Another role I have undertaken is assisting with the training of GPs in core MSK skills through various courses and workshops. Finally, I provide medical support at various sporting tournaments, including marathons, cycling events and Tough Mudders, whilst also working as a pitch side doctor for rugby matches.

Having attained my MRCGP in August 2020, I’m currently working as an NHS GP in South London across two different practices in the Croydon borough.

I have a keen passion for teaching and last year I took up the role of a Campus Based GP tutor at King’s College London. where I organise weekly seminars and patient simulations in small groups for Year 5 students. This has been a thoroughly rewarding experience, and works synergistically with my MRCGP question writing role for StudyPRN. Both allow me to reflect on some of the fascinating and complex scenarios I deal with on a daily basis in primary care, and consolidates my belief that one of the best forms of learning is through teaching.

I graduated from the University of Birmingham Medical School in 2015, and studied Pharmacology at King’s College London between 2012-13, attaining a First Class Honours Degree. I have published several articles in peer-reviewed journals and most recently wrote two articles for GP Online, helping other GP trainees excel in the MRCGP AKT.

I am a Geriatrician specialising in geritaric intermediate care with a special interest in Metabolic bone disease. Currently, I am working for Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.

I have experience in delivering teaching via the online media having tutored for the University of South Wales and University of Wales in this media. I have previously been a Junior Editor for the British Medical Journal.

I am an SHO Locum Doctor for the General Surgery, Orthopaedic and A&E Departments at Macclesfield District General Hospital, where I’m involved in the management of acute and chronically ill patients and diagnostic testing. In addition, I work as a Medical Resident at Manchester Spire Hospital, an Anatomy Demonstrator in the Medical Department at The University of Manchester, and am a COVID-19 Vaccinator for the Cheshire region.

In 2016, I completed my Bachelor of Doctor in Human Medicine from the University of Kalamoon, Syria. Following this, I went on to complete my ALS course (2019), BSSC (2020) and Teach the Teacher Course for Doctors from Oxford Medical (2020).

I have several years of teaching experience, including 3rd year medical students (stitching), 5th year medical students (surgery/moc OSCE) and ophthalmology (Diabetes Retinopathy).

Following qualification from Newcastle University, I arranged my own general practice training scheme while moving around the UK. I decided to work with, rather than against, the tide of patients choosing to bring women’s health issues to a female GP, gaining the diplomas of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 1998, and of the Faculty of Family Planning (the predecessor to the FSRH) in 2000.

Following membership of the Royal College of GPs in 2000, I have worked as a sessional GP in several areas of the UK. Currently, I work as a part-time salaried GP in the East Midlands.

I am involved in GP and medical student training, having become an associate GP trainer in 2014, and gained a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education in 2016. I have authored and co-authored a number of modules on e-SRH, the FSRH/e-LfH collaborative e-learning course. Additionally, I have an interest in genetics and completed an MSc in Genomic Medicine in 2019.

I completed my medical training at Bristol University and am currently working as a portfolio GP in Cornwall, where I was previously a full time partner. I have also worked as a GP in Australia.

I have interests in urgent care and I undertake sessions for the local out of hours service, in addition to daytime GP locum sessions. I also work at the local children’s hospice and I am the Named GP for Child Safeguarding for NHS Kernow.

I am a General Practitioner with experience in leadership and medical education. I completed my medical training at Imperial College and obtained an intercalated Medical Management BSc (Hons).

I am interested in medical education, and am a senior tutor at Exeter Medical School leading and tutoring on professional development groups. I have also been heavily involved in postgraduate education, having set up and run an educational group for GPs in their first 5 years post completion of training in Somerset alongside being a GP educator for the Somerset GP Education Trust.

I was elected the Clinical Director for a Primary Care Network in South West England, working with a group of GP practices to set up and drive collaborative ways of working in order to support the needs of 50,000 patients and the workforce that it seeks advice and treatment from.

I am a specially trained Senior Physician in Family Medicine, General Medicine and Endocrinology & Diabetes with a wide range of medical skills and more than 18 years working experience in major teaching hospitals in various parts of the world.

My MBBS degree was awarded in 2001 from one of the leading Faculty of Medicine in Sri Lanka. During my career journey, I received many postgraduation awards from the Royal College of Physicians-MRCP(UK) Specialty Certificate in Endocrinology and Diabetes in 2017, Royal College of General Practitioners UK in 2011(MRCGP), College Of Family Physicians Canada in 2014(MCFP), Royal College Of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 2019(MRCPS).

I am a member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology (USA), a Member of the Endocrine Society (USA) and many other leading specialty societies and associations.

It is a delightful experience to have written MRCGP practice questions for StudyPRN.

After I achieved my MD from Bangalore University, I went on to complete my MRCP(UK) from the Royal College of Physicians, followed by my Palliative Medicine Postgraduate Diploma from Cardiff University, and finally my MRCP(UK) in Palliative Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians.

I thoroughly enjoy working within academia, having written MRCGP practice questions for StudyPRN, and authored modules on Cardiff University’s Pain Management Postgraduate Diploma course.

I also work at the University Hospitals Ahuja Medical Center (USA) as a Palliative Medicine Physician. I’m also a member of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine, and the European Association for Palliative Care.

After completing my MBBS from the Faculty of Medicine (University of Colombo), I achieved my Diploma in Family Medicine (DFM) and Doctor of Medicine in Family Medicine (MD) from the Postgraduate Institute of Medicine, University of Colombo.

I am a Member of both the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP-INT) and the College of General Practitioners Sri Lanka (MCGP-Sri Lanka). In addition, I am a life member of the Sri Lanka Medical Association, the Government Medical Officers’ Association (Trade Union of Government Doctors), and the Palliative Care Association of Sri Lanka.

Currently, I work as a Consultant Family Physician at Divisional Hospital, Sri Lanka and am also covering up duties as a Consultant Family Physician at Divisional Hospital, Wethara, Sri Lanka. Additionally, I’ve lecture for the Postgraduate DFM course since 2018 and am a Member of faculty of teachers at the MCGP course.

I graduated from Cardiff University’s School of Medicine and have been a GP principal at my practice in Caerphilly for the past 12 years, where I am the Respiratory Lead for the practice. In addition, I’m also an Honorary Clinical Teacher at Cardiff University’s Medical School. This online resource, which has been written by working GPs, is an ideal revision tool to help AiTs pass the AKT component of the MRCGP exam. In writing questions for the question bank, I have paid particular attention to subject areas where candidates are known to struggle and score poorly.
