Asthma is a prevalent chronic respiratory condition that requires accurate diagnosis and proactive management to prevent exacerbations and reduce the risk of serious outcomes, including hospitalisation and death. Despite the availability of clear clinical guidance, gaps in care persist, as highlighted by the Royal College of Physicians' report into asthma-related deaths. This CPD module focuses on the updated NICE guidelines and current best practices, equipping clinicians with practical strategies to improve diagnostic accuracy, tailor treatment plans, and deliver safe, evidence-based care for patients with asthma across all age groups.
The module is based on 10 clinical case scenarios with associated MCQs and each explanation provides further reading material to refresh your knowledge of each diagnosis. Once you complete the module — and achieve the minimum pass rate of 60% — you'll be awarded with a downloadable 1 hour CPD Certificate, which you can print or upload to your annual CPD Portfolio.
